Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

KamperHub™ ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our caravan travel planning application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using KamperHub, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

When you register for an account or use our Service, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Password (stored securely using encryption)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
  • Vehicle and caravan details you add to your garage
  • Trip plans, routes, and travel preferences
  • Traveller profiles and companion information
  • Inventory lists and weight calculations
  • Financial records and expense tracking data

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you access our Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and general location data
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

1.3 Health and emergency information about travellers

If you add travellers to your trips, you can choose to record sensitive details about them: allergies, medications, medical notes, dietary requirements, date of birth, gender, weight and an emergency contact. All of this is optional.

Only add details about another person with their permission, or for a child in your care. A traveller can also fill in their own profile through a private link we email them. Those details go to the person who invited them.

We use these details to suggest packing items for your trips and so you have them on hand in an emergency. Items made from them, for example “Allergies: peanuts”, appear in that trip’s packing list, so think about this before you share a trip with someone. We do not use these details for advertising, and we do not share them with other companies apart from the services that host our database and keep it running (see section 3). You can edit or delete them at any time, and deleting your account removes them.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
  • Process your subscription payments
  • Send you important updates about your account
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Analyse usage patterns to enhance user experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate KamperHub:

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. View their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe handles all payment information securely. View their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps services (maps, place search, directions and address lookup) for route planning. Google receives what you search for and the places and routes you plan. We also use Google Cloud Vision to read the text on caravan compliance plate photos you choose to scan, so Google receives that photo. View Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Email (Resend)

We use Resend to send email such as account, trip, support and newsletter emails. Resend receives your email address and the content of the messages we send you.

Weather (Open-Meteo)

We use Open-Meteo for weather forecasts. It receives the location of the place you ask about.

Hosting and page-view statistics (Vercel)

Vercel hosts our website and app and provides basic page-view statistics.

Where these companies are

Our service providers, including Stripe, Google, Meta, Resend, Vercel and Open-Meteo, are based overseas and may handle your information outside Australia. Our shop supplier, Dropshipzone, is Australian.

Analytics

We measure how people use our Service, including which pages are visited, so we can improve it. We do this with our own page-view records and with the third-party tools described below.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)

We use the Meta Pixel on kamperhub.com and throughout the KamperHub app. It tells Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, when you visit our pages and, in the app, when you view the login or sign-up page, complete sign-up, start a subscription checkout or subscribe. We use this to measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta receives your IP address, browser and device details, the page you are viewing and cookie identifiers, and if you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram it may link this activity to your account. We do not send your name, email address or payment details to Meta through the Pixel. Meta handles this information under its own policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can manage how Meta uses it in your Facebook ad preferences, or block cookies in your browser settings.

KamperHub Shop: Google services

Our online shop at shop.kamperhub.com has its own privacy policy at shop.kamperhub.com/privacy. The Google section of that policy is repeated here.

Google tags. The shop uses the Google tag, which connects it to Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. Google may place and read cookies in your browser, and may use web beacons or similar technologies, when you visit the shop. Through these, Google receives the pages you view (page addresses can include words you searched for), the page you came from, your IP address and details of your browser and device.

We also send Google these shop actions: viewing a product (its name, ID and price), adding a product to your cart (the product, quantity and price), starting checkout (your cart total), and completing a purchase (the order total, the currency and an order reference number). This means Google may receive information about transactions made on our shop. We use this to understand how the shop is used and to measure whether Google ads lead to purchases. Personalised advertising is switched off in our Google Analytics property.

Matching purchases to Google ads (enhanced conversions). When you complete a purchase, we also send Google a scrambled copy of the email address on your order. Our server scrambles it with a one-way code (SHA-256 hashing) before it reaches your browser, so the Google tag carries the scrambled code, not your email address. Google compares it with scrambled email addresses of signed-in Google accounts to work out whether the purchase followed a click on one of our Google ads, so we can measure whether our ads work. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. If the Google tag is blocked in your browser, nothing is sent.

The tag does not send your name, phone number, delivery address or payment details to Google, and apart from the scrambled code above it does not send your email address. The only other time Google receives your email address is Google Customer Reviews, below, which happens only if you choose it.

Google Customer Reviews. After you pay, the order confirmation page may show a tick box asking whether you would like Google to email you a short survey about your order. It stays unticked unless you tick it. If you tick it, we send Google your order number, email address, delivery country and the estimated delivery date. Google may then email you a survey once your order is due to arrive, and may place and read cookies or use similar technologies in connection with the survey. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. If you leave the box unticked, we do not send Google your email address or delivery details for this purpose.

Google product feed. We send Google, through Google Merchant Center, a feed of our products: names, descriptions, images, prices, shipping costs, availability, brand and weight. It contains no customer information.

Managing cookies and your options. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the shop working, such as staying signed in. To control how Google uses information for advertising, use Google’s Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. To stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The shop has no cookie banner or on-site opt-out switch, so these browser and Google settings are your options.

To learn more, see Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Affiliate Links and Partnerships

KamperHub may contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. If you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. These partnerships help support the ongoing development of our Service. We only recommend products and services we believe may be valuable to our users.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyse how our Service is used, including visits and purchases on our online shop (see KamperHub Shop: Google services above)
  • Measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram (see Meta Pixel above)
  • Improve your experience

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our Service.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes using HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open.

When you delete your account (Account > Privacy & Security > Delete My Account), we cancel any subscription first, then remove your trips, garage, travellers, expenses, favourites and settings, your support conversations, and any email sign-ups under your address. Finished shop orders are kept as a financial record, but your name, address, phone number and email are removed from them. If you have a shop order that is still being prepared, we ask you to wait until it ships or cancel it first, because we still need your delivery address.

Usage statistics that no longer identify you may be kept. Copies of our database kept as backups are removed as those backups expire.

If you are not a member, for example you wrote to us or joined a mailing list, email info@kamperhub.com and we will delete your records.

8. Your Rights Under Australian Privacy Law

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

You can use two of these yourself at any time. Access: Account > Privacy & Security > Export My Data downloads a copy of the information we hold about you as a file. It includes your support conversations if you sign in with Google; otherwise email us from your account address and we will send them, because we cannot confirm that address is yours. Deletion: Account > Privacy & Security > Delete My Account. For anything else, or if you are not a member, contact us at info@kamperhub.com and we will reply within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

KamperHub is for adults aged 18 or over, and children cannot create accounts. A parent or carer can add a child as a traveller on their trips, for example with their name, date of birth or allergies. That information is provided and managed by the adult, is covered in section 1.3, and can be edited or deleted at any time. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
